Emily has diverse experience as a psychotherapist, counsellor and facilitator and successfully worked with individuals, couples and groups from multiple backgrounds, ages and ‘walks of life’. She addresses issues such as grief and loss, trauma, depression and anxiety, relationship and family counselling and navigating life transitions.
Emily is an empathic and insightful professional who creates a safe therapeutic environment in which to foster self-awareness, personal growth and transformation. She practises in a holistic and humanistic way, honouring the mind/body connection, individuality and personal aspirations of each client.
By working collaboratively with clients in a person centered manner and addressing the interpersonal, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical she aims to facilitate and empower clients to live their lives more authentically and optimally, so that each may attain new meaningfulness, positivity and personal life-satisfaction.
Emily facilitates client change, empowerment and goal attainment by employing a strengths based approach and utilising several theoretical and research based methodologies such as emotion focused therapy, rational-emotive therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, existential psychotherapy, and mindfulness techniques.
