Grow from within
Counselling that is kind, and honest enough to be useful.
Anne Evans is an award-winning counsellor, psychotherapist and trauma therapist who has led Melbourne Counselling Centre since 2017. She is a practitioner of The Richards Trauma Process (TRTP), working alongside cognitive behavioural, mindfulness and solution-focused practice — chosen to suit the person in the room rather than the diagnosis on paper.
Every client receives focused, personal attention: a clear read of what is going on, a plan for the work, and practical skills to carry out of the room. Do the work and change will come — less talk, more doing. Individuals of all sexualities, genders and cultures are welcome, and no referral is needed to begin.

Who I work with
Adults from 16 up, and couples at any stage.
I work with individuals from sixteen through to later life, and with couples — dating, long-term, separating or rebuilding. Clients come with anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, trauma and PTSD, grief, anger, low self-worth, family and workplace conflict, and the life transitions that unsettle all of it.
Most people arrive knowing they need support but not what kind. Working that out is the first session's job: what is going on, and a plan for resolving it.
