Cancellation Policy

Melbourne Counselling Centre requires 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a 50% fee. Cancellations on the day of the appointment, and appointments not attended, are charged the full session fee. Fees are not refunded once a session has been held.
Appointment times are held for you alone, and short-notice changes cannot usually be filled. The policy below is applied consistently so that it is fair to every client.

How to cancel or move an appointment
Use the link in your confirmation email, the online booking page, or call 1300 018 255. Email to contact@melbournecounsellingcentre.com.au also works — the timestamp of your message is what counts, so earlier is always better.
Arriving late
Sessions finish at the scheduled time so the next client is not delayed. If you are late, we use the time that remains and the full fee applies. For online sessions, connection problems on my side are never charged to you — we finish by telephone or reschedule at no cost.
Illness and emergencies
Genuine emergencies and sudden illness are handled with discretion — tell me what has happened and we will work it out. Please do not attend an in-person session unwell; we can switch to video or telephone instead.
Programs and refunds
Program sessions — including court-ordered anger management and TRTP trauma recovery — follow the same notice periods. Fees are not refunded once a session has been held; where a program is interrupted, remaining sessions are rescheduled rather than refunded.
