In short
Parent counselling is work with the parent, not assessment of the child: what happens in you before the shout, limits that hold when you are tired, and repair afterwards. It also covers co-parenting across two households after separation. Sessions are 50 minutes at $198, GST included.
Parent counselling is for the parent. Most people arrive able to describe exactly what they should have done and unable to do it in the moment, because the moment is loud, late and the fourth one that day. We work on what happens in you first, because that is the part you can actually change.
It suits parents of toddlers through to parents of adult children, and it is frequently the most useful place to take co-parenting after a separation — two households, one child, and a set of arrangements that has to survive both.
What happens in your body before the shout, and how to catch it a few seconds earlier each week.
Boundaries you can actually enforce when tired, and repair afterwards when you do not.
Co-parenting arrangements, handovers and communication that work without a shared opinion of each other.

Where your reactions were learned. Most parenting difficulty is a script inherited, not a flaw invented.

Emotion coaching, limits, and repair after a rupture. Repair matters more than never rupturing.

What to do on the bad week, and a plan for the situations you already know are coming.
Parents arrive able to describe exactly what they should have done, and unable to do it at six o’clock. That gap is the work.

Yes, together or separately. Co-parenting sessions focus on arrangements, handovers and communication rather than on reopening the relationship.
No. There is no curriculum and no homework sheet. It is counselling for the person doing the parenting, which is why it works for parents of teenagers and adult children as well as small ones.
