Counselling Melbourne — Melbourne Counselling Centre

In short

Melbourne Counselling Centre is the private practice of Anne Evans, a counsellor, psychotherapist and TRTP-trained trauma therapist. She works with individuals aged 16 and over and with couples, online across Australia and New Zealand, by telephone, or in person in Melbourne by arrangement. All sessions run 50 minutes. No GP referral is required and there is no waiting list.

Where clients come from

This is an online-first practice with in-person appointments in Melbourne by arrangement, so there is no waiting room and no catchment.

Melbourne metropolitan

CBD and inner suburbs, the north, the east, bayside and the south-east. In person by arrangement, or online with no travel at all.

Regional Victoria

Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, the Surf Coast and Gippsland. Secure video, with telephone as the backup when the connection is poor.

Interstate

Clients in every Australian state and territory, with appointment times set against your own time zone.

New Zealand

Sessions across the Tasman by video, scheduled to suit NZ hours. Same fees, same format, no travel.

Melbourne Counselling Centre has worked with Melbourne clients since 2017. Anne Evans is a counsellor, psychotherapist and experienced trauma therapist with twelve years of practice, and she sees every client herself — the person who answers your enquiry is the person you work with.

Sessions run online by secure video across Australia and New Zealand, by telephone, or in person in Melbourne by arrangement. All appointments run 50 minutes, with Tuesday appointments until 6.30pm. The work is practical: we agree two or three goals and a plan in the first session, so counselling has a shape rather than running indefinitely.

No referral required

Book directly. A GP referral or mental health plan is not needed to see a counsellor.

Tuesday until 6.30pm

Tuesday appointments run until 6.30pm, so counselling need not cost you a day of work.

One practitioner throughout

No intake team, no reassignment — you work with Anne from the first session to the last.

A plan from session one

Goals agreed early and reviewed openly, so you can see what is changing and what is not.

Questions people ask

Where in Melbourne are sessions held?+

In-person appointments in Melbourne are arranged directly, and location is confirmed when you book. Most clients choose secure video or telephone because it removes the travel entirely.

How soon can I be seen?+

Usually within a week. Live availability is on the booking page, and there is no waiting list to join.

Do you see clients outside Melbourne?+

Yes — regional Victoria, all Australian states and New Zealand, by secure video or telephone.

Are you a psychologist?+

No. Anne is a counsellor and psychotherapist, not a psychologist, psychiatrist or social worker. The differences, and when a psychologist is the better choice, are set out on the counsellor or psychologist page.
